When choosing your colours for social media take a look at your surroundings. If, for example, and your walls are a tan colour, then maybe a vibrant yellow might not look great. Draw from colours around you, and colours you like, to create a colour scheme for your posts. Also, think about what the colours mean. If you want peace and tranquility, don't go with vibrant. Different colours mean different things. Do a Google search to see what your brand colours mean in your culture (it's worth noting that different cultures assign different meanings to colours).

Taking a step back, having a cohesive branded look to your posts makes your profile more appealing and makes people want to follow. Some profiles do have a lot of success with no colour scheme but it is MUCH easier to attract people to follow you with a cohesive look, trust me, I've tried both and the cohesive is easier. If you are artistic and have an eye for these things, let your creativity shine through. If you are a little bit more of a set it and forget it kinda person, find your colours and use them in each post and your profile will transform.
You have some colours for your branding but not sure how to incorporate them?
1. Use them in your Highlights.
This reinforces the colour scheme and makes these colours pop.
Example: These are the highlights from my husband's dental office - can you tell what our colours are?

2. Add the colours in Your Photos.
Use Adobe Spark Post or Canva to add elements that make use of your colours in your photos. Both platforms allow you to set your brand colours. You can use them in your font colour choices or in elements around the photos.
Example: Again from our dental office, we repeatedly use the same colours

3. Have a Photo Preset that has Tones in Your Colours.
Example: I've created a preset in Adobe Lightroom that works well for 90% of our photos. They are light and airy to give the impression of clean, light, fun. Our brand colour is a lime green colour and this goes well with that colour.

4. Use Backgrounds, Clothing, and/or Props to Reinforce the Colour Scheme.
I created colours that work well with the gowns that we have to wear now due to COVID. When we no longer have to wear them, I'll adjust the colours a bit to go with our grey uniforms. The beauty of these colours is they can easily be changed and look good, as long as you do it slowly over a 9 posts.
I absolutely love colour! It's one of the things I notice first. Don't be afraid of it, and I promise, your feed will transform!
