Well, we never said silly but I'm not sure we use that word anymore. Moving on, have you ever over complicated things?
You know what I did for YEARS? I thought that since I was a social media manager, I had to create my own, from scratch, posts? I couldn't use the pre-made ones you get from programs like Canva? How silly! I spent hours and hours trying to make my posts look as nice as the ones you find. I don't have a degree in Graphic Design (although, I am taking some online courses to learn about it), I am not an artist, I don't have to re-invent the wheel.
It's funny isn't it? The constrictions we put on ourselves to do things? I did NOT have to re-invent the wheel. In fact, the reformed me is here to tell you ALL about pre-made posts!
They are absolutely lovely! They take a few seconds. Do you know what I do? I have an Adobe Creative Cloud Subscription so I use Adobe Express (it's Adobe's answer to Canva). I have the branding of the accounts I manage saved in the program and when I need a "We are closed for the long weekend" post, or "Happy Airplane Day" kind of post, I head on over and bip, bop, boop I slide in the info and it's got the logo and everything. It's lovely. It's almost like these people wanted to create a product that was so easy for us small business owner to use to save time, hmmmmmm.
So here is your message for the day. Don't over-complicate things. If you feel like you are trying really hard to prove your worth and working 10x the amount you need to, take a step back. What is really making you re-invent the wheel?
