Ew. I just found a hair in my rice. Today is a day where I'm eating at my computer. Not recommended I know, but it's a planning day. I have a bit of a scatterbrain so I don't like to get distracted by things like lunch. Ugg! I sound awful, even to myself. I know I shouldn't but sometimes I'm WAY more excited by things on this beautiful new computer of mine than actually eating food.

What am I excited about? Well, don't judge but it's actually planning my blog posts. Actually not just planning, but pre-writing them too.

There is NO law against it and guess what! I'm done all the way to Christmas. That may not seem weird to you as Christmas is next month, but as we speak, the sun is shining and my flower garden looks gorgeous. I have huge hydrangea blooms, my hibiscus are as big as plates. It's not November, it's the middle of the summer.

I'm pre- writing because it's not sustainable to remember to blog month. I don't write these each month. I write them in one or two days and then I schedule them to release once a month. Voila! Marketing made easy.

How do I do this? Well, remember I said I was excited? I have so much to write about, I could spend days and days and days writing about marketing. However, I have other clients too and maybe I'm not so excited about their content. Like my husband, he's a dentist. I'm not too sure how many people get excited to open their dentist's blog posts. This is how I come up with ideas:

- scroll the internet to see what other dentists are writing about

- look at Pinterest for dental stuff

- listen in the office, what are the people talking about?

- what's going on in our office?

- buzz sumo or google trends

- check out dentists instagram and facebook

- find out what's trending and put a dental spin on it

Google Trends is my favourite way to get ideas. It allows me to find what is trending.

Here another question: Why do I do it? Isn't blogging dead, you may ask? Maybe. It might b. But website aren't. Google bots aren't. There just isn't enough ways to get all the information about my business on my website. Especially considering it's just 2 pages. This way, I have a regularly updated website, I'm using my keywords, and if someone really wanted to know who I was, they can check out my blog. I don't expect that my posts will go viral. I do it mostly for the bots. I don't spend huge amounts of time on my blog posts. It's not worth it. It's a fun place for me to show my personality, get my keywords in, and let people know what I do.

Ok, so I've only talked about blog posts. What about the rest? Yes! Schedule your Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Pinterest posts -whatever you want. Pre-make them and have them publish automatically. You can even get notifications sent to your phone so you can check them before you post.

Save yourself some time

Lotsa Love
