Social Holidays are an excellent way to:

  1. Make use of Trends

  2. Get ideas on what to post

  3. Show off your personality

  4. Join in on the fun!

Here are the September Holidays you may find interesting with a few ideas with them. There are specific ideas for each day but also more general tips to post around any day. It's worth it to look at each day, even if the day doesn't interest you.

ree

Month
  • Gum Care Month: Great for health care! Show us how you take care of your gums

  • Better Breakfast Month: Share pics to your stories of your yummy looking breakfast, share a recipe for a healthy breakfast, ask your audience their favourite breakfast

  • Women's Friendship Month: Show off your besties! Have a girls trip (because, you know, work!) You HAVE to spend some time with your friends in the name of growing your IG account! Post pics, and tag your friends.

  • National Family Meals Month: Show your audience that your family is important to you! Show off those family meals, give some recipes, tips on how to include your kids in making the meals

  • National Sewing Month: Do you know how to sew? Show us your skills! This one is especially great for creators. I can sew but hate it, I'd post a pic to my stories of the button that REALLY needs to be sewn on my sweater but hasn't been.

  • Self-Care Awareness Month: This one is a biggie! Self Care is something that's being talked about a lot this month. Tell us how your service or product will help with self care.

  • Alzheimer's Awareness Month: My amazing friend has a mom with Alzhimer's. This one's for her. Raise awareness for the causes that are close to your heart.

  • PCOS Awareness Month: You can use awareness months to raise awareness but also to reach your target audience! Show us how your services can help people with PCOS.

Weeks

5-11

  • Suicide Prevention Week: Show your support of suicide prevention in your posts and your stories. This is a big and very important topic right now. Tell us your story or a story you know. Tell us how you got through the isolation.

  • Waffle Week: On the lighter side, you can post about your morning waffles this week! How to make them, your favourite waffles (Leggo my Eggo! - who remembers that!?). You can even show off your waffle weave shirt or material! Use these holidays creatively.

12-18

  • Housekeeper's Week: If you own an office and have someone who cleans it, now's the time to say a HUGE thank you! You can promote their small business too. We don't always get to celebrate the people behind the scenes, this is your chance!

  • Learn @ Work Week: I love this one! I love to learn. Show off what you are learning. Not only does it give you a chance to talk about what you do, but how great you are at it too!

19-25

  • Forest Week: Show off your walk in the woods, a picture of the beautiful forest near your house, the forest you saw on vacation. This is a chance to use pictures of you outside of work.

  • Clean Hands Week: Now this is a biggie right now. You can promote good hygiene here, and a cause you believe in. Make a fun video of you washing your hands and getting to work. It's a fun angle to show off what you do.

  • Farm Safety & Health Week: I live around a ton of farms so this may seem a bit more important to me than others. However, if you sell any kind of food, you can showcase the farm it came from this week.

26- 2

  • Banned Books Week: Show off that banned book you are reading! I love to show the books I'm reading because I love it when people I like also share their books. It gives me an idea of what to read next. The banned books also gives it a bit of danger! Here is a list of some classics that have been banned LIST HERE. Poll your readers on how many of the banned books they've read.

Days

Sept 3

  • Lazy Mom's Day: This one is close to my heart! I'm a lazy mom and proud of it! I'd love to say my house was clean but I'd rather say my kids were happy! Show us how lazy you actually are and how happy your kids because of it!

Sept 4

  • Eat an Extra Dessert Day: YES! Show off that yummy dessert and normalize eating good food because people who love food are the best people!

Sept 7

  • First Day of School: Show off your back to school fun! Or not! Show us what you are doing today. I don't regularly show my kids faces as I want to give them the choice of privacy. I may use this day to talk about my choice of not showing my kids faces amounts the myriad of child faces.

Sept 14

  • National Colouring Day: Ooohh I want to post a colouring page! I love making adult colouring pages or Mandalas. They are so beautiful and fun to create. Make one and give it away for free to your people.
