These are a Few of My Favourite Things

When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad . . . Darn! I'm going to be singing that song all day!

It's the month of LOVE yay! It's also my birthday! Happy Birthday ME. Ha! Now that my son is only 8 (or 9 depending on the leap year) after mine, my birthday kind of gets forgotten. I'm good with that. I'm hoping people thought that I stopped getting older when my son was born.

Since it's the month of love, I wanted to share a few of the things I love when marketing. Here goes:

Abobe Express: I've talked about this before. This is Adobe's answer to Canva. It's pretty cool. I can save my logos in the program and when I need to brand something I click a button and voila! It cuts out backgrounds and adjusts photos. It's pretty cool. I use this to make posts a lot. It's already done for you templates. Keepin' it Simple!

VideoLeap: With the advent of reels, video leap has become a life saver. I'm not a videographer! In fact, growing up, I didn't even have a TV in my house! You ask me about programs in the 90s - no clue! VideoLeap is really helpful, simple to use and has templates. I love it because a lot of the templates are for pictures and I have a lot of those to show off for my clients.

SnapSeed: I love this for photo editing. It does a bunch of stuff that I love. It will even expand a photo for you. I love this when I get a picture in landscape and I need to change it for Instagram.

Prime Photos: I just found out that people with Amazon Prime memberships have unlimited photo storage. This is amazing for me. I have SO many pictures on my phone. I don't know what to do with them. I need access to them for my posts so I send them to Prime Photos and they are instantly accessible on any of my devices. I know other platforms do this but Prime's is no extra cost (other than the membership and we were already paying for it).

Procreate: This is my favourite app when planning something or drawing something out. I make our annual Christmas cards on here. I've made postcards, logo design, colour pallets, tracing, you name it. It's fabulous

Adobe Illustrator: This is my favourite software to make logos, branding pages, school work pages. I use it for a lot of things that may be better off in other software but because I'm familiar with it, I like to use it a lot.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: I have this weird obsession with Pillsbury's cookie dough. They made is so you can eat it raw! Like they just know how to get us. I bought 2 packages "for my kids." I think my kids got a total of 4. I ate the rest. Oh dear! I know this isn't strictly marketing but you know!

You may notice that there are a few things that didn't make the list. I don't have a scheduling software or a calendar. I don't actually use those. I tried. Many times. I've found that a good ol' pen and paper works the best for me. I use my phone calendar for reminders sometimes. I actually bought a flip calendar, took all the months out and pinned them all up on my office wall. They sit there like a huge year in review. I use stickies to plan my life. So far, this is the best system I've used. Do you have any scheduling software you use and love? Let me know!

Lotsa Love
